Digital Video is becoming an increasingly
important presentation medium in a wide variety
of subject areas. Here at the CLC, we have a
wide range of digital video equipment and
software. Whether you want year 1 to make
videos of a typical day at school, or year 13
to produce a pop video as part of their A-level
Media Studies coursework, we can help to make
your ideas, and those of your students, a
reality. Working closely with you, we can plan
the session to ensure that students get the
most of their time at the CLC.
Our resources include DV cameras up to full
broadcast quality, as well as a range of video
editing software from Windows Movie Maker and
iMovie right the way up to Industry Standard
packages such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut
Pro. We have also invested in Reflecmedia
chromakey technology which allows people to be
filmed against a plain background, and then a
new backdrop can be “keyed” in behind them -
allowing schools access to the latest
technology and filming techniques. To help you
get the most out of all of this equipment, we
can also provide training in all aspects of
filming and editing. We have recently completed
a history project with Albany School producing
news reports from a medieval village. Why not
have a look at some of the videos we have
helped to create?
