Music
Technology
We are happy to offer support to all Enfield
schools who would like to develop their music
curricula to include music technology. With
primary students, we can offer taster sessions
giving students an idea of how computers can
help musicians to make music. We also can
support schools by offering training in how to
deliver the QCA curriculum in new and exciting
ways. Using a variety of software from
Garageband to the 2simple music toolkit, we can
offer training and even lend computers with the
relevant software on to allow teachers to
continue and further develop projects back in
school.
With GCSE Music students, we try to use
Industry Standard software such as
Propellerheads Reason software, Logic or
Cubase, as we feel this gives students an idea
of what working in the modern music industry is
like. A number of schools have used our
facilities to create GCSE coursework. As well
as this, we have invested in further software
including Ableton Live. We have also run a
series of music masterclasses for gifted
musicians to further develop their skills, and
a further music masterclass will be run later
on in the academic year.
We are happy to provide advice, support and training to schools whether it be advice on purchasing new equipment or advice on how to incorporate aspects of music technology into the curriculum. Get in touch and see how we can help you transform music in your school!
