Enfield Radio Station Week

We are hoping to run a radio station week here in Enfield where schools can create radio broadcasts and share them over the course of a week. I know that many schools in Enfield have their own radio stations and it would be interesting for these schools to share their experiences and suggest ways of how we can take this forward.If you are interested and are in a school in Enfield come along to a meeting
Netbooks in the Secondary Classroom
We have been working with The Latymer School Enfield, piloting the impact of a set of 10"Netbooks to support learning in lessons. Towards the end of the summer term, year 9 experimented with the Netbooks in a range of lessons. We have loaned them 30 Samsung Netbooks, which are stored and charged in a case that can easily be transported around the school to different lessons.

We have been working with Tim Rylands (http://www.timrylands.com/blog/about/) to explore the potenital of using computer games to engage and inspire students to write. Tim began using computer games in his lessons in a bid to improve children's literacy and communication skills. He travels around the world to give presentations and model lessons. We managed to secure a booking with Tim in Enfield.
2DIY Training
We are really looking forward to welcoming teachers on monday to the 2DIY training course. We are really lucky to have a special guest, Katie from 2simple who will be sharing tips and tricks with us.
